Let styling remain part of the story
In monochrome, garments that look different in colour can merge into a similar grey. Review how fabric, silhouette and lighting work together. Make sure the styling remains legible and that the pose adds something to the shape of the clothes.
A fashion story can be theatrical or restrained. What matters is whether the photographic choices and styling speak the same language across the series.
Create rhythm across the editorial
Look beyond a run of similar full-length poses. A closer beauty image, a garment detail or a change in viewpoint can develop the story when it has a clear purpose. Remove near-duplicates and avoid adding unrelated looks simply to make the selection longer.
The current Kavyar call sets the image-count requirements. Use that limit to create a deliberate sequence rather than filling every available slot.
Make credits easy to verify
Prepare names, roles and accurate handles for the photographer, model, stylist, makeup artist, hair artist and other contributors involved. Match clothing and accessory credits to the relevant looks, including the correct brand or designer spelling.
Ask the team to check this information before submission. A beautifully photographed editorial is harder to prepare for publication when its credits are incomplete or contradictory.
Choose the right submission route
For a series driven primarily by character and expression, see portrait photography submissions. For a restrained colour story, see moody photography submissions.
